Who we are

Rosemount Mortgage Planning is a friendly and approachable business. We offer independent mortgage advice to home buyers in Maidstone and the Weald of Kent. Rosemount Mortgage Planning is now based near Tenterden but has a long history in Maidstone, so we can provide good local knowledge and support. As part of Rosemount Financial Solutions (IFA) Ltd we can also provide all the resources of a national Financial Services Company. We can offer a wide range of financial products and services, from property insurance and financial planning to setting up Wills and Trusts.

Richard Ewence is the Principal of Rosemount Mortgage Planning in Maidstone and the Weald, providing Independent Mortgage Advice to a range of new and existing clients, from first-time-buyers to retired baby-boomers.  Richard has lived in the Maidstone area since 1983 and has been working in Financial Services since 1991. In 2023, he moved from central Maidstone and is now located to the south of Maidstone in the Weald of Kent. He has been arranging mortgages and other financial products through his own business since the turn of the century, helping hundreds of clients with their home purchases and re-mortgages, and advising them on suitable home and family protection plans. 
 
He will take on difficult or unusual cases and do his utmost to help clients acheive their desired outcome.
 
Away from work, Richard is very involved with rugby in Kent and is a keen participant in local tennis, table-tennis, and more recently, bell-ringing (or campanology to give it the correct term) and ukulele-playing with the Biddenden Strummers.

Rosemount Mortgage Planning use a carefully selected panel of mortgage lenders to compare mortgage rates, costs, etc to provide the best mortgages for our clients. We are not tied to any lender, bank or estate agent so our clients get specialist mortgage advice that’s unbiased and tailored to their individual circumstances and priorities. We have access to a panel of mortgage lenders representing the whole of the market from well known High Street Lenders to some of the lesser-known or specialist lenders that offer their products exclusively through mortgage intermediaries.

We put your needs first and adapt to your schedule to provide advice at a time or place convenient to you.
Of course, arranging the mortgage is only half of the process, as we will also work with you to find a package of mortgage protection products that protects you and your new home whilst fitting in with your own circumstances and budgetary constraints.
In addition, we offer a number of other important services where we find that clients feel more comfortable dealing with a trusted source (see Services page for more detail)
